Passports

The Calhoun County Clerk’s Office accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State. U.S. citizens planning international travel may apply for their passports weekly Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm. To apply call the Clerk’s office at 850-674-4545 and set up an appointment. Before your appointment, please have your application filled out, identifying documents, picture made, and money for the Department of State and the Clerk’s Office.

Passports are issued by the U.S. Department of State.

The Passports division receives passport applications, reviews, certifies new passport applications, and sends them to the Miami Passport Office for issue. Passport applications are processed and photographs may be obtained at the following three locations.

An additional $60.00 per person (payable to DOS) will be charged in addition to passport fee for expedited service (Plus postage for two-way overnight delivery)

  • $19.53 overnight postage from Passport Agency (payable to DOS)

A 2″ by 2″ color photo is required for passport applications  

*For passport renewals only: If certain Department of State criteria are met, individuals may mail a renewal application (Form DS-82) directly to the Department of State and will not incur the $35.00 fee to the Clerk of Court. To determine eligibility for mail-in renewal, visit the Department of State’s passport renewal page by clicking here. (Note: The Clerk of Court is not permitted to execute Form DS-82 mail-in renewal forms).

All forms must be filled in using black ink only.
